FindLaw, a Thomson Reuters business, is the world's leading provider of online legal information and Internet marketing solutions for law firms. FindLaw's roots go back to 1995, when two attorneys compiled a list of Internet resources for a group of law librarians in northern California. The response to the material was so positive they decided to post the information on the Internet.

All Things Automotive - A directory of links to more than 3,000 sites related to cars.
American Sign Language Browser
- QuickTime clips are used to demonstrate the signs for various words in this site from Michigan State University.
Audubon's Birds of America - An online version of the original Birds of America by John James Audubon. Includes color plates and bird calls.
- Mechanic brothers Tom and Ray Magliozzi, featured on the NPR radio program "Car Talk," answer every car question under the sun, and they do it with humor.
Charity Reports - The Better Business Bureau presents this Index of Philanthropic Advisory Service Reports on charities and other soliciting organizations. Provides administrative details, including CEO salaries, financial statements, and fundraising expenses, for hundreds of charities.
E-How - Step-by-step instructions through 14 subject areas to thousands of projects.
The Foundation Center
- Answers to questions about foundations, non-profit resources, and corporate giving.
Grants Information Center - Based at UW, links users to print and electronic sources of private and corporate foundations, federal funding agencies, etc.
Poets' Corner - The goal of this ongoing project is to develop a user-friendly library that is both a useful reference and an appealing place to browse and explore - and there is a lot here to explore. The collection covers nearly 7,000 works by almost 800 poets - ranging from some of the best known works in the English language to works that were never widely known or whose popularity has been obscured by time.
Repositories of Primary Sources - A listing of over 5000 websites describing holdings of manuscripts, archives, rare books, historical photographs, and other primary sources for the research scholar. All links have been tested for correctness and appropriateness.

Federal Election Commission - In 1975, Congress created the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to administer and enforce the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) - the statute that governs the financing of federal elections. The duties of the FEC, which is an independent regulatory agency, are to disclose campaign finance information, to enforce the provisions of the law such as the limits and prohibitions on contributions, and to oversee the public funding of Presidential elections.
